Graphic Designer

As a Graphic Designer at itravel2000, you will be a key part of our Marketing team and contribute across all departments. You will manage the conceptualization, design and creation of all website, email, social, digital and all other advertising and promotional material; and, coordinate and input on all creative material that deliver on the objectives set for each project.

How You Will Be Spending Your Time

  • Create the overall marketing campaign layout for the itravel2000 brand, ensuring that brand standards and guidelines are met to deliver consistent results.
  • Responsible for developing and tracking each project from initial layout through to revisions,translation and approvals, liaising with cross-functional teams, and uploading final approved artwork files.
  • Maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms while customizing per medium.
  • Work efficiently within tight deadlines for graphic creation as per calendar milestones and ad hoc priorities.
  • Understand brand, brand standards and how to apply across all mediums.
  • Maintain a very organized workflow and complete assignments quickly and efficiently
  • Effectively collaborate with fellow teammates and execute industry leading designs.
  • Open to change, critique and alternative design techniques.
  • Conceptualize and execute designs from a blank canvas state.
  • Set and meet independent and group deadlines.
  • Participate in design conversations with team, partners and clients.
  • Embrace design direction to bring to life ideas/briefs and strategies.
  • Conceptualize and execute omni-channel marketing assets, bringing together the brand identity,a strong typography, illustration, photo manipulation and editorial/layout design skills.
  • Develop, evolve and maintain website consistency.
  • Maintain the visual integrity of the brand and ensure the use of proper standards and industry best practices.
  • Assist in defining and improving existing workflow related to design and web production tasks.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

The Skills, Experience and Requirements You Need to be Successful

  • University/College degree in Art and Design
  • 5+ years of professional experience working in advertising or in-house environment, with a strong understanding and foundation in design, writing and production fundamentals. (preferably in the Travel Industry).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and GIT
  • Experience with CMS
  • Must have experience working with Adobe Creative Suite Software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Bridge, Dreamweaver, Flash in a MAC environment
  • Editing software non – Adobe – Final Cut Pro
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Cross-platform (print, web, video, etc.) design skills are an asset
  • Excellent understanding of typography
  • Knowledge of web design best practices
  • Ability to multitask, work under the pressure of tight timelines, and adapt to creative challenges under tight deadlines
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and with the ability to work well independently, and collaborate well with creative direction
  • Strong conceptual thinking and decision making skills
